To all our readers and supporters:
We are releasing this information now so you can schedule to come to our only fund raising event before you schedule other events ahead of time. We need your much needed presence and support to raise funds for the seminarians.
Organization compete with us and try to schedule their events on same dates as ours and therefore we needed to act promptly just like any other organization or corporation. FFRGOC Board and Member and our Choir are very much active to protect ourselves and our events using our talents that makes our events very successful !
FFRGOC appreciate your presence and support to FFRGOC on our only fund raiser for the year. Plus our venue will be the same who served us first class prime rib similar to restaurant like Gullivers in Irvine, CA.
Our the last annual gala event FFRGOC used the Mardi Gras theme and everyone had fun and dressed up to the hilt using the the Mardi Gras theme. And why not? We live only once and do whatever make you happy plus help us educate seminarians to become priests who will serve the Catholic community world wide.
See the blog on this website. Most of you are also featured with your photos to remember our event.
Now our talented board of directors has come up with the new theme of Pahiyas.
Why Pahiyas?
Lucban’s Pahiyas Festival 2024 in Lucban, Quezon is a great example of Pahiyas Festival and people immerse themselves in the town’s rich traditions as houses transform into dazzling displays of art. FFRGOC will adorn the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel with farm bounty – tropical and CA fruits, vegetables, and Filipino delicacies like suman, puto and bibingka if we can find the right sources. Our PRO Nenita Miyata has a great source for suman happy to say.
Pahiyas is to express the people's gratitude and The Pahiyas Festival in the Philippines honors San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers. Our Filipino roots worked as farmers in Hawaii and Fresno areas where agricultural products come.
"San Isidro Labrador is revered the guardian saint of farmers, and his feast day on May 15th is commemorated with fervent devotion and jubilation. The festival serves as a vibrant expression of gratitude and reverence, as farmers and residents alike come together to honor the divine providence that sustains their livelihoods."
