Pista sa Nayon 2022

Updated: Jun 21

Due to Covid19 pandemic, FFRGOC did not have this event for several years. Finally on August 20, 2022, we had this fund raising event at the Embassy Suites to raise money for our Seminarian Program and for expenses of our forthcoming October, 2022 Rosary rally.

Picture of FFRGOC Board of Directors Officers/Directors who worked hard to make our Pista sa Nayon a success under the able leadership of our President Helen Alonso. Unfortunately, Father Juan Caboboy, our Spiritual Director and Debbie Gonzales, Past President and Advisor who actively guide the direction and decision of FFRGOC were on vacation and not on the picture.

Behind the scenes pictures of preparation before the event:

It is not work but fun as shown by their smiles!

More smiles from happy volunteers

That's more like it,,,we were fed with KFC after our hard work !

Our "classy" tables all set up

I want to acknowledge Larry Orque, FFRGOC Choir Conductor, for allowing me to use most of his pictures taken during the event on this website.

The hard work of our members and officers under the leadership of President Helen Alonso paid off with a high attendance to this event which was almost 400 guests or to be exact, 399 guests who donated their precious time and resources and had an evening of fun eating yummy healthy food and dancing with gusto to the wee hours. Caroline Elston and her band did not disappoint the attendees with the music played.

FFRGOC attendees paid in advance their tickets and assigned seats were matched with the tickets and the final program, chaired and finalized by our past president now part of the Advisory Council, Debbie Gonzales, turned out very well with substantial information like QR code for our website, 2022 Souvenir Program invitation and order form with cost , save the dates events, the program for the night, the committees and people who worked hard during the event, menu and acknowledgement and list of invited vendors (first time we did it) with the help of our Special Projects Director husband and wife team, Marlon and Chat Agbayani on the design and layout and the overall supervision of our President Helen Alonso.

Beautiful BOD officers ready to register guests -Sol Sollarano, Cora Biglang Awa and Vita Valentin

Raffle tickets were also sold and a booth displayed t-shirts and mugs with FFRGOC logo printed on them plus the fee paid by outside vendors which were part of the fund raising efforts. And of course, a fraction of the cost of the tickets is also part of the fund raising after deducting the expenses of the event.

FFRGOC is grateful to all the donors of the prices and for everyone's attendance and participation in this fund raising event for a worthy cause.

The festivities of Pista sa Nayon was opened by the singing of our FFRGOC choir with the able Larry Orque, Jr. as the conductor.

The seminarian program was presented on the wide screen by Eli Ruiz, Director of Seminarian Program to inform everyone what the program is all about, our progress including direct acknowledgement via video of students who became priests. Food was also served to our attendees and here are some pictures of the healthy food including dessert (not so healthy).

Don't you love the colorful ternos of these ladies blending with the decor ? Awesome !

That's what I call "ootd", young generation call it in Instagram, etc. meaning Outfit Of The Day and Instagrammable ! lol

Happy ? Of course, look at their smiles !

We also had a distinguished guest, Orange County Superior Court Judge Israel Claustro elected last June 7, 2022 and previously Orange County Deputy District Attorney as shown below.

Judge Claustro was animatedly talking to Ernie Delfin who invited our guest

Judge Claustro, a good Catholic, who will serve us all well as a Judge with me and Eleanor Tan, an invited Filipino Ministry Group guest of Holy Spirit Church.

With the above pictures, I hope I captured the happiness and vibes of people who not only contributed their resources and time and efforts but at the same time had a wonderful time.

Till next blog of another event of FFRGOC. Follow us and subscribe to our website so you get updates when something is new. Just type on google ffrgoc. org or swipe our QR Code thanks to our techie director, Marlon Agbayani.

As an FYI, use of QR code is the sign of the present where restaurants use them a lot, groceries and shopping places and website. Let us all be part of this changing times.
