Honoring Jonathan Alonso for FFRGOC

B. Delfin

In the next few days, our dearest Jonathan Alonso, husband of FFRGOC President Helen Alonso, will be laid to rest. Let us honor him for what he did for FFRGOC … taking quality and creative pictures of our events for our website ffrgoc.org

Husband and wife team – President Helen and Jonathan Alonso, during the celebration of Helen’s birthday. generously made it a fund raising event for FFRGOC.

Jonathan Alonso was a caring , happy and always smiling when he interfaced with every FFRGOC members/officers to take pictures. He always carried his own camera and peripherals and ready to shoot pictures at the spur of the moment in most of the events of FFRGOC The only time you will not see Jonathan in our events were the time he was not feeling well or conflict of schedule.

As the website administrator of FFROC.org website, I needed quality and good lighting and color and not grainy pictures so the website pictures will be appreciated by the audience especially by people whose pictures were taken. Through our President Helen Alonso, his wife, I had access to all the pictures he took on her Facebook account and with both of their permissions, I am very grateful I was able to use the pictures he took.

Jonathan Alonso, due to his passion for photography, is a product of school of hard knocks.

He acquired his skills by practice, research, perusing on the past pictures he took and studied them on how he can improve and later his pictures got better and better plus communicating well to the people he was taking pictures as far as position and making sure everyone were focused as if talking to his camera.

The stolen shots he took were unique moments which is one of the quality of a good photo and I featured them in our website.

Jonathan Alonso was a good photographer that allowed me to do story telling via pictures on our events.

He had also a good eye for details and some of his pictures showed also emotions. He had also the patience to wait until everyone on the picture had their acts together with everyone laughting and giggling and happy to have their “ootd” (outfit of the the day- younger generation lingo} wearing their barongs and Filipiniana gala dresses.

I want to quote Karl Lagerfeld, a German Creative director, Fashion Designer and Photographer as shown on the picture below:

FFRGOC members/officers will miss you Jonathan Alonso and appreciate you and your wife, President Helen Alonso for all the talents and expertise especially your labor of love that FFRGOC benefited through your pictures.

Jonathan, you have other good qualities and deeds you did for other people but I will not "steal their thunder" to honor you publicly and privately which I heard through our prayers and novena.

On behalf of FFRGOC members/officers, we honor and thank you JONATHAN ALONSO.

Thank you also to President Helen Alonso and their two daughters, Janice and Jennilee and family for Jonathan sharing his talents and skills.

FFGROC members/officers family love all of you and may God bless you always.
