FFRGOC is blessed with having a choir that supports the group on our masses and sponsored events.
Now, let us know better this choir with this blog.
History:
In 1993, FFRGOC South Chapter initiated a First Saturday novena mass from October to June in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the St. Nicholas Church, Laguna Woods, CA. From a handful of members of the different Filipino rosary groups, a choir was formed to sing during the mass and the small hall at St. Nicholas Church became their home. Although untrained im music and accompanied with only a guitar, their enthusiasm and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary was more than enough to compensate for any lack of musical background. Word spread like wild fire on their efforts and people from Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Laguna Niguel , Anaheim, Orange, Tustin, Irvine and Aliso Viejo started joining the group. The choir was able to enlist the expertise of a capable music director, Inday Sosmena and a talented pianist/organist, Larry Orque, Jr. Both graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Conservatory of Music at the Pontifical University of Santo Tomas. Inday introduced vocalization in Bel Canto style which greatly improved the quality of the choir's vocal projection and later trained the members of the choir in four voices: Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass.
Inday Sosmena was hired as Musical Director of St. Mary's Church and in 2002 left the choir. The mantel of the choir directorship was handed over to the able leadership of Larry Orque, Jr. Sharing his musical talent and experience in international choir competition, Larry continues to train non music professionals to sing beautiful songs for the Lord. Larry, who also had been more exposed to music is tough and perfectionist and was able to train well the members of the choir up to the present.
In 2004, FFRGOC officially adopted HRPCC as its choir.

Present:
The Holy Rosary Philippine Chamber Chorale is composed of volunteers from different parishes in Orange County guided by its Spiritual Director, Father Juan Caboboy. The choir has been in existence for 27 years with a noble mission, "to serve God through music". They pride themselves by being a choir with a heart for worship and a mind for musical leadership and at the same time uplifting the hearts of those who hear them sing. Members and officers of the choir are committed to practice and sing at least once a week all year round which account for their superb performances. Everyone will agree if you hear them plus you will love the attires they wear that is perfect for the occasion.
Being the choir for FFRGOC, they participate heavily during the year by:
- leading by song(s) during the First Saturday Novena Masses at St. Nicholas Church, Laguna Woods, CA in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary from October to June,
- supporting FFRGOC on the Annual Rosary Rally in October and usually celebrated by the Bishop of Orange and co-celebrants are priests from the host parish and other Filipino priests depending upon their availability,
- supporting the Simbang Gabi mass in December.
The choir also gets invited to other religious ceremonies such as Santo Nino in January.
